Our approach
Do one thing, and do it fast.
There's no shortage of URL shorteners with sign-up walls, dashboards, and features nobody asked for. URLClipper is built the other way around: open the page, paste a link, get a short one back in under a second. That's the whole interaction.
Every short link redirects straight to its destination — no interstitial pages, no ads in the way, nothing slowing down the person who clicks it.
Security
HTTPS-only redirects
Every short link resolves over HTTPS, so the hop from short link to destination is encrypted in transit.
Malicious-domain checks
Links are checked against known malicious-domain lists before they're shortened.
Encrypted at rest
Stored link data is encrypted at rest, not kept as plain text in the database.
